Senator the Honourable Fazal Karim, Minister of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education met with members of Servol Limited to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at the Ministry’s Office at the International Waterfront Complex, Port of Spain on Monday March 12th 2012. This MoA serves to reconfirm the commitment of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education to providing support for two (2) key Servol programmes, namely the Hi-Tech Programme and the Advanced Skills Training Programme.

Students’ Facilities to be opened at the San Fernando General Hospital

Senator the Honourable Minister Fazal Karim visited the San Fernando General Hospital on Wednesday 7th March, 2012, for a tour of the soon to be opened facilities for Medical Sciences students. This recently refurbished building is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Health through the South West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA), and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education (MSTTE) through the University of the West Indies (UWI), with both Minister Fuad Khan and Minister Fazal Karim driving the efforts.

On Friday February 10, 2011, representatives from the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) in Kolkata, India paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education (MSTTE) at the ministry’s head office at the International Waterfront Complex.  Mr. K G Kumar, NCSM Director and Mr. T K Sarpan, Exhibition Manager, met with Senator the Honourable Fazal Karim, Minister of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education to discuss the exhibition “India – A Culture of Science ”, which will tour Trinidad later this year.

Final Waterloo Campus to benefit former Caroni Workers
